Get to know us better.

The MAiD Learning Circle was created because the people doing this work asked for something more.

Across hospitals, hospices, community organizations and volunteer programs, professionals described feeling prepared for procedures but underprepared for the emotional and relational realities that unfold around them.

They knew the forms.
They understood the legislation.
They followed policy carefully.

Yet many still left conversations wondering:

Did I say the right thing?
Did I support that family well enough?
How do I carry what I just witnessed?

Again and again, we heard the same message:

Where is the education for the human side of MAiD?

The Learning Circle grew from years of listening to those voices.

It was shaped by bedside experiences, community conversations, grief groups, volunteer programs and the everyday courage of professionals trying to balance compassion, ethics, risk and responsibility in real time.

We believe competence in MAiD is not only clinical.

It is relational.
It is emotional.
It is ethical.
It is cultural.
It asks who you are in the room, not just what you know.

Our courses are designed to meet the realities practitioners face every day:

  • family disagreement

  • moral tension

  • existential suffering

  • uncertainty about language

  • the impact of repeated exposure to loss

  • the need for steadiness under pressure

We teach practical tools, yes.

But more importantly, we help people build the presence required to use them.

This is education for professionals, volunteers and peer supporters who want to show up with clarity, compassion and integrity.

It is a place to deepen skill, strengthen confidence and feel less alone in carrying the weight of MAiD work.

Because how people are met during these moments matters.

And those who provide care deserve care too.
